Amber Klinger is a multidisciplinary designer, artist, and fabricator based in Knoxville, Tennessee. She works primarily with digital fabrication tools and explores the boundaries between technology, materiality, and form within contemporary art and design.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Cincinnati (’18), a Master of Architecture (’22) and a Master of Science in Digital and Material Technologies (’23) from the University of Michigan. Her current work and interests investigate how varied fabrication techniques can manipulate light, color, and materiality, challenge conventional forms, and reframe traditional modes of making.

Her architectural and design work has been previously exhibited in academic exhibitions at the University of Cincinnati and University of Michigan, highlighting her interdisciplinary approach to form and fabrication. She has previously been awarded a $1,500 research grant from the Rackham Graduate School in support of her explorations into digital fabrication and material performance.
