OSCILLATE

In partnership with Alexander Werth and Ankit Patel
Oscillate is a record holder that studies the use of flat three axes machining to create three-dimensional objects. This was designed in the fabrication course at the University of Michigan.

Oscillation is the back-and-forth movement of soundwaves, which fueled the design of Oscillate. Each individual curve piece mimics a single sound wave, when compiled it is what we imagine a sound wave would look like if it were three-dimensional. The ‘waves’ are held together with three dowels and is easily adjustable by addding or subtracting the rectangular pieces in between the waves.
